Hand Necklace No.2
Inspired by too many nights swimming in the bioluminescence filled ocean, enveloped under star lit skies in Mexico, from Bucerías to Melaque to Mexico City. Hand motifs appear in many pieces of jewelry and religious iconography across this beautiful country - the hand with an object in its palm is widely considered to symbolize charity, or to mean something is "from the heart". Others consider it to represent friendship, love and truth.
This bold bronze hand necklace is formed by me in my small East London studio. Carefully carved from wax before being cast into the most beautiful reclaimed bronze. Your choice of a fiery 2mm Australian Opal or Nevada Turquoise stone hand picked will be set within it's palm. It is completed with a solid 925 sterling silver curb chain.
This incredible statement necklace will get you compliments everywhere you go and is excellent for layering with other necklaces. We find ourselves reaching to touch ours as a source of reassurance and strength when the going gets tough.
Carefully packaged in a 100% recycled (and recyclable) pulp paper box, embossed with our Jex Studio logo.
